Street Goes Pink And Blue For A Week – Saturday 8 October to Sunday 16 October
The Street goes Pink and Blue is an annual free event that is held every October for the community to raise money for cancer. This year Street Goes Pink and Blue For A Week are supporting The John Logan Foundation, Breast Cancer Foundation and Prostate Cancer Foundation. This year they also have Cosi from South Aussie as their MC plus bands, dancers, musicians, and a plethora of international food trucks.
Come along and enjoy your dinner by the sea; bring your picnic blanket or your beanbags; bring yourselves, your friends, family – everyone is welcome. Enjoy this free event while raising money for cancer.
What’s happening at Street Goes Pink And Blue For A Week?
Thursday 6 October
Performers from Brazilian Dance Fusion bringing a carnival atmosphere to the Colonnades Shopping Centre.
Saturday 8 October : free concert from 4pm
The Mayor of the City of Onkaparinga will open the festivities with a free concert by the More Pink Tribute Band.
DJ Hartway will start the afternoon off to some cool tunes of house and acid/jazz creating an awesome atmosphere.
Plus there’ll be an array of international food vans, so the community has a great choice of dinner – all with the backdrop of the beautiful seaside suburb of Christies Beach.

Sunday 16 October : free Family Fun Day from 10am
There will be a full family day with lots of entertainment including:
- Teddy Bears PINKNIC with free teddy bears to the first 300 kids
- Mr Oopy Bubble Show
- Amazing Drumming Monkeys
- Mariachi Band
- Dance troop
- A strings ensemble
- Stilt walkers
- Bouncy castle
- Sumo suits
- Carousel
- Face painters
- Hospital bed race called by Cosi
– again with a plethora of international food trucks, The Pink Markets with that gorgeous seaside backdrop.
