The City of West Torrens Summer Festival 2019

The City of West Torrens presents outdoor cinemas, bands, food trucks and children’s entertainment during January and February 2019.

Summer Festival draws hundreds of people to West Torrens each year. Lawns are transformed by a sea of deck chairs, picnic rugs and cushions as people take advantage of the free summer evening entertainment during January and February.

This is the tenth year the City of West Torrens has staged a summer event series and each time people come from local and neighbouring areas to enjoy movies, live music and fun activities.

Little Day Out

2019 Program

The 2019 program also includes four free open-air cinemas (including two new venues in Novar Gardens and North Plympton), ‘All together Now’ – a music and arts festival held in the beautiful West Torrens Memorial Gardens, the Thebartonia! street party in Thebarton and Fork on the Road presenting ‘Take a Fork on the Westside’ with more than 30 food trucks, bands and fun for all ages at Kings Reserve.

• Free fun at the beach for 0-17 year olds and their families
• Learn about beach safety
• Build a sandcastle
• Ride a wave
• Play beach cricket
• Pack a picnic

Bring a towel and bathers.

Please note that Little Day Out: Beach will be cancelled if the weather is forecast to be 36 degrees or more by the Bureau of Meteorology at 5pm the day before the event. No bookings required (unless transport is needed).

West Beach Surf Life Saving Club | corner Seaview Road and West Beach Road, West Beach

Little Day In – STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics)*

Wednesday 16 January | 1pm – 3.30pm

• Free fun for 5-12 year olds and their families
• Mobile Science presents ‘Weird Creatures’ at 1pm
• Create clay creatures with Mindful Arts
• Wood workshop with Bunnings

• Bouncy Castle
• Bring a towel, bathers, change of clothes and a water pistol!
