Thorndon Park Super Playground Concept Plan – Stage 2

Campbelltown City Council is keen to hear the views of the community on a Thorndon Park Super Playground Stage 2 Concept Plan.

Thorndon Park is recognised as a key regional park, providing a destination for residents, ratepayers and visitors to the council area to enjoy active and passive recreation facilities. You can read our review of the current Thorndon Park Reserve here.

Stage 1

The Stage 1 consultation for this project engaged 477 community members, including school students, users of Thorndon Park and those local to the area. The bird theme received very positive feedback and was well embraced by the Community. There was also a high level of support for the super playground with 83% of Respondents saying they would use the new facilities if they were developed. Council considered feedback from the Stage 1 Consultation (based on the Community Engagement Outcomes Report in Council’s Agenda in Item 11.3, pp. 177 – 286).

Stage 2

Council have now provided the Stage 2 Concept Plan, which has taken into consideration the feedback received and provides preliminary costs.
