TGI Fridays – Family Friendly Restaurant | Kids Eat Free | Marion | Review

A visit to TGI Fridays in Marion – a family friendly restaurant where Kids Eat Free*!

If the sound of chicken wings, ribs, hand crafted burgers, sizzling fajita towers and fresh salads gets your tastebuds tingling, then it’s time to grab a table at TGI Fridays. Plus, they have one of the most impressive cocktail menus we’ve seen! But the best part? Kids eat free!*

Review by Jo Parkinson

In true American style, the food here is served in generous portions, so make sure you’re hungry when you arrive! The friendly staff can usually accommodate walk-ins, but it’s advisable to book ahead. Once seated, you can use a QR code to order your food, or if you prefer, the staff can provide table service.

The Marion restaurant is set out in a cosy diner style, with tables or booths to choose from. On a nice day, there is also outdoor seating available. There is a play area for the kids too.

Food and Drink

Diners are spoilt for choice when it comes to food. TGI Fridays has such an extensive menu that it can be hard to know what to pick, it all looks so good! We loved the way that there were lots of pictures in the menu so that you could see what the meals looked like. There is something to suit everyone, including those with dietary requirements. The main menu is set out is set out in the following categories: starters, fresh mex, burgers and wraps, salads, mains, ribs, steaks and dessert. We recommend the delicious chicken quesadillas, it’s always so fresh and tasty and can’t help ordering it every time!

If you love a cocktail (or mocktail), this is the place to be! Happy hour is daily, from 4-6pm and includes a selection of Margheritas, Long Island Iced Teas, beer, wine and spirits. There is a huge range of gorgeous looking cocktails in the drink’s menu. Or for those that prefer non-alcoholic, there are indulgent looking milkshakes, cold drinks and tea and coffee.

Kids Eat Free

TGI Fridays pride themselves on being a family friendly restaurant. From Monday to Thursday, kids under 12 eat free with any main meal purchase over $25 (as at April 2024). Each meal comes with a cool activity pack and stickers, to keep the young ones entertained while waiting for their meal.

Kids can choose from a variety of meals off the β€˜Stars and Stripes’ menu, including nuggets, macaroni, calamari, hot dog, chicken fajita plate, chicken fingers or a cheeseburger. Our kids love the yummy hot dogs, although it’s so big, it’s a challenge to eat it all! Most of these meals come with a choice of side, either salad, fries or broccoli and corn.

There are some special drinks that kids might like to try as well: Fancy Floss, Extreme Unicorn Shake and Extreme S’moreo Shake.

And if your kids can’t get enough of TGI Fridays, we have good news…they also host kids birthday parties! The packages include a party plate of food, build your own sundae workshop, fancy floss mocktail and a special birthday song performed by the staff (check website for more details). Or why not visit on Sunday Fun-day? Each Sunday, kids under 12 can build their own vanilla sundaes, choosing a sauce and two toppings for $8.90.

We love visiting TGI Fridays, it’s family friendly, excellent value for money and always serves delicious meals that leave everyone feeling happy and full!

*Kids under 12 eat free Monday to Thursday with the purchase of a main meal $25.00 or over (as at April 2024)
