Plan a visit to The Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha during their free open morning in June.
The Big Rocking Horse in the Adelaide Hills is home to the biggest rocking horse in the world! It is also a 7-acre animal park with a mini golf course, wooden toy factory, picnic areas, gift shop and onsite cafe.
On Wednesday 25 June 2025 they are holding a free open morning that includes free animal park entry and free horse climbs between 9am – 12:30pm. They will have a film crew on site filming the whole park so if you want to be a part of filming, you are welcome to go along and enjoy the animal park and horse climbs free of charge.
WHAT TO DO AT THE PARK:
Standing at 18 metres high, you can climb to the top of The Big Rocking Horse (usually for a small fee).
Shop for wooden toys, all made right here in South Australia by local toy makers.
The 7-acre wildlife park is home to a variety of native animals such as red and grey kangaroo’s, wallabies and emus. They also have some farm animals such as goats, alpacas and sheep. Around the ponds you will find native and domestic ducks and geese.
Animal food is sold in the shop, so you can hand feed the animals.
