Ask anyone which musical they can recall seeing as a child and the vast majority will tell you it was Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. This treasured age-old classic is about to come to life on the Arts Theatre stage with the G&S Society’s latest production set to open on Saturday 19 July 2014.
The G&S Society welcomes the talented Trish Hart as director with the assistance of Greg Hart. Having played the roles of Maria and George in 2004, Trish and Greg Hart are familiar with the story and the music. They will be joined by the incredible talents of Heather Elliot as musical director and Celeste Barone as choreographer.
This final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Due to its popularity the G&S Society expects tickets will sell quickly and we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
The season runs from 19 July to 2 August 2014 at the Arts Theatre.
