The Adelaide Youth Theatre is presenting the fabulous family favourite show for these school holidays!

To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz – it is being staged right here in Adelaide!
On at the Royalty Theatre from 24-26 January 2014, there is a Fancy dress competition with prizes at every performance, plus one lucky young lady will win her own pair of made to fit Ruby Slippers at the end of the season.

Little Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy’s imagination.  The Adelaide Youth Theatre uses some of the top young performers from all around South Australia to perform highly acclaimed full length family musicals.

We have attended many shows over the years and are always blown away by the amazing singing and dancing talent of the casts and the high quality of these productions in every way, including fabulous sets and fantastic costumes.

This show is very similar to the original popular movie, including famous songs such as ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, ‘Ding Dong’, ‘We’re Off to See the Wizard’ and ‘Merry Old Land of Oz’. We can’t wait to see it.
