Presented by Adelaide Festival Centre and China National Theatre for Children Beijing.
Celebrating Chinese New Year, Three Monks integrates traditional Chinese opera, martial arts and elements of Chinese culture to tell the well known Chinese fable that explores the philosophy of unity and co-operation.
The fable is devised from the proverb ‘One monk will shoulder two buckets of water, two monks will share the load, but add a third and no one will fetch the water’.
