Uniqorn Eats | Family-friendly Cafe in Adelaide

The perfect place for a magical eating experience!

by Brooke Hendry

Sunshine, lollipops and….. the most amazing colourful food and shakes that you could imagine – is what you’ll find at Adelaide’s family-friendly café, Uniqorn Eats.

Uniqorn Eats Cafe

The magical Uniqorn Eats, located on Grenfell St in the city, is the cutest most vibrantly eye-catching café that we’ve been to. And, to top it all off – the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is fast and friendly.

This is one café that should be on your list (more than once!).

We took our girls here recently as a little birthday treat, and what a treat it was…

Their excitement kicked in when they spotted the brightly coloured outdoor chairs and tables as we approached the café. Once we reached the entrance, squeals of delight ensued as the café is like a colour bomb of happiness exploded. Your eyeballs are hit with so much joy, it’s hard to know where to look first!

There’s a kaleidoscopic wall of lollies to your right, looking up you’ll see a huge blow-up unicorn hanging from the ceiling. Around the walls and leading up the stairs are large colourful blow-up lollipops, icey poles, rainbows, donuts and cupcakes, along with neon signs and cute colourful prints. And, of course, you’ll spot lots more unicorns hiding all around.

You can choose to eat in the cute upstairs area, or dine alfresco.

Now for the food….

Oh my gosh – the food tastes as incredible as it looks.

You can choose from delicious pancakes or waffles, sharing plates, toasties, brunch items, shakes and sundaes.

A majority of the menu is fun and colourful food with added razzle-dazzle. However, there are ‘standard’ items on there too.

Here’s what we ordered –

And, we couldn’t not try their famous Rainbow Toasty – we got this one to share!

Honestly, the food was simply delicious – every single dish, every single bite.

The kids were over-the-moon at how fantastically colourful their food and shakes were. And us adults absolutely loved our meals too. So delicious and such a great place for a special treat.

The only thing I would change on our next trip back is to not get one of the Uniq Shakes and a meal together…it was just too much for one tummy. But I would definitely order each item separately again.

Their standard shakes would be a much better option to pair with a meal.

I’m also looking forward to trying one of their sneaky cocktails on our next visit!

We do recommend that you reserve your table

And return we will! This is truly a fantastic little café that is a delight for the kids. We reserved our table and we 100% recommend doing this if you’re wanting to go. They were extremely busy on the day we went.

When booking a table, they do advise that it’s a 75 minute session only. I was a little concerned about how we were going to get done within the time limit, considering how busy they were (and how much we ordered – he he!). But, as mentioned above the service was outstanding.

The meals are brought out in a timely manner and even with all this food to get through, we ended up finishing and leaving with still 30 minutes left on our booking time. This was great, as a walk-in came by and was able to grab a quick bite before the next reservation was due. Which always helps our small hospitality businesses during this strange time we’re living in!

We can’t wait to come back.

If you’ve seen the pictures on social media of Uniqorn Eats Café and have been thinking of trying it out – stop thinking and GO! You will not regret it.

Review Uniqorn Eats Adelaide

What we liked: It’s the perfect place for a sweet treat for the kids (and adults!) The food tastes absolutely amazing and the service was fast and super friendly.

Things to consider: The Uniqorn Eats Uniq Shakes are LARGE (and fabulous!). We would recommend ordering either one of these or a meal. We ordered both and it was a bit too much for one person! Although their standard shakes are perfect for pairing with a meal.
