The YMCA at Walkerville operates a Vacation Care program every day of the school holidays (except for public holidays and the week between Christmas and New Years Day). It’s a fantastic program open to primary school aged children and is not only ideal for working parents as an alternative to their child’s regular school OSHC, it’s also a great option if you are looking for school holiday activities in general. Book them in with a friend or two and they’ll have a ball.
YMCA Walkerville’s timetable contains a variety of supervised indoor and outdoor activities. They offer a wide range of centre-based activities such as arts, crafts and cooking, organised games, dancing and team sports, gymnastics fun, large and small group activities, park activities, children’s videos, drama and music activities. They also plan outings and excursions to various locations around Adelaide.
Each child is required to bring recess, lunch, a drink bottle, hat & where necessary a spare change of clothes, depending on the day’s activities. Bookings are required and all forms and information can be downloaded directly from the INEA website here.
