Steve Waugh is returning to St Clair to play in the annual Waugh in the West Twenty20 all star cricket match!

Head to St Clair Oval from 5pm for this free event. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

St Clair Project Director Brian Virgo said Waugh in the West had established itself as one of the best supported free community events in the Western suburbs of Adelaide.

“The match is fun to watch with Steve taking to the field with both bat and ball and putting on a show for the crowd,” said Mr Virgo.  “Waugh in the West picks up some of the elements that have made T20 cricket so successful with big hitting cricket coupled with music, dancers and other attractions around the ground.

“There will be plenty on offer for families with free entertainment including kids face painters, jumping castle, roller skating, rock climbing, an animal farm and competitions run by the local junior sporting clubs.”

Waugh in the West is a free community event hosted by St Clair developer’s AVJennings.  Spectators are welcome to bring along a picnic or purchase food and drinks from one of the many participating stalls.

The event will also raise money for the Steve Waugh Foundation which works to improve the quality of life for Australian children and families affected by rare diseases.
