West Beach Parks (formerly Adelaide Shores) has opened a new resort pool.
The AquaCove is a new $2.2 million aquatic facility based at the West Beach Parks Resort – this is next door to the West Beach Parks’ flagship BIG4 Holiday Park.
A popular beachside holiday destination for South Australians and visitors to our state, this new facility will make it even more enjoyable. The new heated pool comes complete with two water slides, poolside cabanas and sun loungers.
One water slide is a single person spiral one, while the other one is a wide slide which the kids can go down two at a time.

The facility is now open to Resort guests and is the latest multi-million dollar investment at West Beach Parks. In December 2017, West Beach Parks unveiled a $4 million premium accommodation village at its BIG4 Holiday Park and became one of Australia’s biggest holiday parks.
The BIG4 park is also home to a $1.5 million heated-lagoon pool and recently renovated $350,000 communal kitchen.
You know sometimes when you go to a heated pool and it’s actually pretty cold? Well, this is not the case here. We tested out the heated pool on a cool evening when the temperature would have been no more than 17 degrees. To our delight the pool was lovely and warm, which meant the kids did not want to get out.
The two water slides are perfect for kids (and keen to slide Adults too) and will happily keep them entertained for hours. Especially as the pool is so warm. Please note that kids will need to be supervised – there is no life guard on watch.
Check out the luxury resort cabanas which are poolside, below. You can keep an eye on the kids in luxury on a cabana, on sun lounges with umbrellas over the other side of the pool, or lay out on the grass.
Right outside the pool fencing is the jumping pillow with sand around it. Between the pool, water slides and the jumping pillow, and of course West Beach a short stroll away – you are all set for the holiday. As you can see from the pic below, these facilities are just a short walk from the cabins at the Resort.
West Beach Parks Chief Executive Kate Williams said The AquaCove includes two amphitheatres and an LED super screen and is already proving popular with Resort guests.

“The decking, tables, chairs and viewing platforms perfectly complement the beautiful landscaped gardens and the two fun-packed pool slides provide hours of fun.
“West Beach Parks already provides guests with two excellent accommodation options – BIG4 and The Resort. It’s fantastic that both parks now have such amazing aquatic facilities!’
A family favourite for generations, West Beach Parks welcomes more than 700,000 visitors each year to its accommodation, sport and leisure facilities and employs more than 150 staff.
If you’re after more things to do, don’t forget that just next door (sitting in between the Big4 and The Resort) is MegaAdventure aerial park and the West Beach Mini Golf. This Summer will also see The Big Wedgie back again here too.
