With thanks to the Adelaide Zoo, Play & Go Adelaide subscribers have the opportunity to win one of three family passes to the Adelaide Zoo to experience Dinosaurs Alive. Passes are valid from 26 December 2013 to 2 February 2014.
From Boxing Day 2013 Adelaide Zoo is going back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Dinosaurs Alive will give prehistoric adventurers the opportunity to come face-to-face with T. Rex, Triceratops, and the entire crew of roaring, snarling, moving dinosaurs.
Hop aboard the prehistoric express and enter the Jurassic realm to walk alongside nine life-like, moving dinosaurs. Meet the dino keepers to learn all about these fascinating and gigantic creatures and how Adelaide Zoo is conserving its remarkable residents from going the way of the dinosaurs. As you leave the dino-den make sure to close the gate behind you!
Prehistoric explorers will also have the opportunity to dig for dino remains in fossil pits, plus tons of dino themed one-of-a-kind activities in the Dino Pit activity hub.
During your visit, make sure to also meet some of the zoo’s modern dinosaurs – birds! Fossil records indicate that birds evolved from dinosaurs during the Jurassic Period as it is thought some bird species survived the mass extinction event that occurred 66 million years ago. Their descendants continue the dinosaur family to this day!
