Eddie Woo visits Regional South Australia
He’s an Australian Local Hero, one of the world’s greatest teachers and his videos have been viewed more than 35 million times.
Internationally renowned mathematics teacher and YouTube sensation Eddie Woo will share his passion for maths with students in regional South Australia in September.
Eddie’s rise to prominence began in 2012 when he set up a camera in his classroom to film lessons for a seriously ill student before posting them to YouTube. Before long he was sharing his videos across the country and beyond. Wootube now boasts more than 620,000 subscribers and has attracted more than 35 million views worldwide.
From 16 to 18 September 2019, more than 3000 students from up to 10 schools across the Riverland and Murraylands will be inspired by Eddie and his wonderful world of maths.
Eddie will also meet with families and the wider community at two public presentations in Renmark and Mannum.
Eddie’s trip is an initiative of Regional Development Australia Murraylands and Riverland (RDAMR) and the Australia Day Council of South Australia.
During his time in South Australia Eddie will visit Loxton High School, Renmark High School, Glossop High School, Waikerie High School, Mannum Community College and Murray Bridge High School.
Eddie will deliver two presentations that are FREE and open to the general public:
