As the original online guide for South Australian families, Play & Go has been helping busy parents discover the best things to do with kids since launching in 2012.
Founded in March 2011, Play & Go was created by two Adelaide mums who were simply searching for one easy place to find family-friendly things to do with children. What started as a solution to their own parenting challenge has grown into a trusted, go-to resource for families across South Australia.
We’re a proudly locally owned and run guide, designed to make life a little easier for parents and carers. The site is completely free to use and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (because we know family life doesn’t run on a 9 to 5 schedule).
Whether you’re a local, just visiting, or new to the area, we’re here to help you find What’s On, What to Do, and Where to Go with kids – from special events to everyday adventures.

Unlike standard directory-style websites, Play & Go takes a curated approach. As a blog-style family news site, we handpick current events, activities, and stories that are genuinely worth your time – all selected by our Adelaide-based team.
Every article includes a link to the original source for more details or updates, so you’ll always know where to go for the most accurate information.

No clutter
We don’t offer a ‘do it yourself’ listing service. Every event or activity featured on Play & Go is evaluated and carefully selected by us. We publish many family friendly events and activities without any cost to the organisers, including charity fundraising initiatives and free community events.
