Our beautiful South Australian parks provide countless opportunities for children and families to connect with nature and to experience the health and wellbeing benefits of playing, learning and being physically active through bushwalking, camping, picnicking, fishing, swimming, cycling, surfing and exploring.

Nature Play SA’s Park of the Month will showcase a different park each month and encourage children and families to experience a range of landscapes, flora and fauna while taking part in fun nature based activities.

July 2015 Park of the Month isΒ Flinders Chase National Park

Located on the beautiful and iconic Kangaroo Island, Flinders Chase National Park is part of a vast area of wilderness known for its geology and unique wildlife.

Start your adventure at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre where you can learn about the local history and unique flora and fauna such as goannas, wallabies, platypuses and native orchids that call the park home. Discover the network of walking trails and boardwalks that meander through the park – you may even encounter some local wildlife.

The park features the spectacular Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch as well as a colony of long-nosed fur seals at Cape du Couedic.
