A brand new comedy festival rolls into Mount Barker District Council in May for three weeks of unmissable stand-up from some of Australia’s favourite comedians.
A Good Laugh comedy festival brings world-class laughs to Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills from Friday 1 to Saturday 16 May 2026. Headlined by superstar comedians – Claire Hooper, Damian Callinan, Dilruk Jayasinha, Melinda Buttle, Alex Ward, Michael Hing, and Kevin Kropinyeri – the three-week festival sees around 20 of Australia’s best comedians deliver a festival worth laughing for, whilst taking in top rated Adelaide Hills destinations such as Tin Shed Distillery, Prancing Pony Brewery, Mt Barker Town Hall, and plenty more.
A Good Laugh comedy festival is all about bringing people together, activating regional spaces, and creating shared moments of laughter for everyone to enjoy. Bamboozled Productions won the Major Event Partnership with Mount Barker District Council, and they can’t wait to celebrate this wonderful prize by bringing this festival to Mount Barker in May.

The Big Giggle is the festival’s FREE family day out, built entirely around the art of being silly. Roving performers, a comedy stage, workshops for the next generation of funny people, and a selection of great food trucks, all set against the kind of Sunday afternoon that makes you feel glad to live where you do.
Designed for families with younger kids, it’s the sort of event where children get to see live performers who speak their language, physical, daft, surprising and completely alive. And where grown-ups remember that laughter doesn’t actually require a punchline.
