Market Mums’ Day | Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market | 10 May 2026
Get set for a morning bursting with good vibes because Market Mums’ Day is returning to the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market!
Join the excitement at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market on Sunday 10 May for a fantastic celebration of all things Mum. Start the day with great coffee, fresh pastries, a homemade breakfast and some toe-tapping live music. There’s no need to rush – take your time wandering the stalls, soaking up the atmosphere, and letting Mum choose her own treats.
She might be tempted by MasterChef judge Poh Ling Yeow’s famous bakes at Jamface, a hot bagel from Barossa Bagels, or something sweet and warm from Toetjes — think Dutch pancakes and syrup waffles with hot chocolate.

And if you’re taking goodies home to make mum a a special breakfast in bed, the market has you covered. Pick up farm-fresh eggs from Feather & Peck, heritage bacon from San Jose Smallgoods, and sourdough or pastries from Croissant d’Or, Riviera Bakery, or Basket Range Bakery. Add fresh fruit, yoghurt from Paris Creek Farm, milk from Alexandrina Cheese Co. or Fleurieu Milk, and sprinkle with granola from Fodden.

Don’t forget something sweet! Treat Mum to a slice of traditional Slavic honey cake from House of Honey Cake, a handmade Portuguese tart from T’art, or a selection of seasonal French pastries from Mulots. Try the lavender fudge and brownies from Fleurieu Lavender, or for something a little different, grab an artisan alfajor biscuit sandwich from Opa Alfajores, or sourdough donuts in a variety of rich, irresistible flavours from Butter & Toast.
If she’s a macaron fan, stop by The Macaron Bar for a colourful assortment of delicate, handmade treats. Whatever her sweet tooth prefers, there’s no shortage of options to make her day. Complete the breakfast tray with a bouquet of fresh flowers from Kidman Flower Co. or Gooseberry Hill Farms, and you’ve got a thoughtful, locally made start to her day.
Family Fun for All
At the Mother’s Day market the kids can bounce off a little energy while Mum enjoys a slower Sunday morning. A giant Jungle Animal Mega Slide inflatable will be set up on the grassed area next to the catering. It’s completely FREE and will be running all morning during market hours. Settle in with a coffee, keep an eye on the kids, and enjoy a relaxed shop while they climb, slide and bounce.
Sparkles the Face Painter will be adding a bit of colour and something a little special to the morning too, from 9am to 12pm inside the Market Pavilion, for a small fee.
Musical entertainment will feature the The Ukes, a lively group of ukulele enthusiasts from Glenelg, who will be performing outdoors under the red umbrellas on the grass. The Core Four, junior musicians from Concordia College, will perform three sets inside the market pavilion, bringing a fresh take on a familiar favourite.

Everything at the market is grown or made right here in South Australia by the people who produce it. So whether you take Mum along, or shop early to surprise her at home, you’ll be supporting local growers, makers, and family-run businesses.
Entry to the Market is FREE, so walk, ride, drive or catch public transport and enjoy the authentic farmers’ market atmosphere. Parking is available via Rose Terrace, Wayville.
