Adelaide’s biggest model railway event is back this June long weekend.

The Adelaide Model Railway Show returns to the Adelaide Showground from 6–8 June 2026, bringing a miniature world to life for families, hobbyists and curious kids alike.

Step inside and explore more than 30 detailed model railway layouts, with local and interstate traders, a huge second-hand stall, plus free face painting and kids’ competitions.

If you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide over the June long weekend, this is an easy one to add to the list.

There will be plenty to inspire you and to get you started – you might even think of taking up this wonderful ‘hands on’ hobby for yourself.  

The annual Adelaide Model Railway Show is presented by Adelaide Model Railway Exhibition Incorporated (AMRE). AMRE is a non-profit association of six of Adelaide’s model railway clubs. The objects of AMRE are primarily to promote the hobby of Railway Modelling. Throughout the 30 plus years history of the shows thousands of South Australians have been entertained by an energetic band of exhibitors.
