Ballet With A Princess by Once Upon a Princess
Review by Susannah Marks
My budding ballerina and I were lucky enough to attend the sold out Ballet With A Princess event by Once Upon a Princess. After some time spent finding the appropriate ballerina/princess wardrobe at home, and deciding on a matching tutu and tiara, we hit the road and headed to the Piccadilly Cinemas in North Adelaide.
Walking into the building we were transported into a world of princesses, glamour and magic. The regal Piccadilly Cinema was a beautiful venue for the event with its fairytale charm and original art deco features – from the red and gold carpet to the grand staircase bedecked with flower garlands, with a chandelier above it – just perfect for a princess to make her grand entrance.
First up was a ballet lesson with the Royal Princesses and a meet and greet photo opportunity. Cue little people striking their ballet poses and practising their grand jetes, curtseys and plies.
All little people were also given a ballerina necklace/pendant and a ballet slipper silver charm.
Then it was time to pick up some treats from the candy bar before sitting back and enjoying the Ballerina movie.
It was such a magical morning and I loved seeing my little person’s eyes fill with the wonder of being part of the fairytale environment.
If you have a little princess who dreams of being a ballerina we recommend you get in early for their next event.
