Big Fish Little Fish family rave

Get out your glow sticks: award-winning family rave Big Fish Little Fish is coming to Adelaide. Family Rave, Big Fish Little Fish (Adelaide) launches in Adelaide on 20 October to get “2-4 hour party” parents and their kids throwing some shapes to club classics.

Designed for parents and kids alike the Big Fish Little Fish raves are social, creative, anarchic, and a lot of fun.

Hailing from the UK and now running in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, 20 October sees Adelaide’s turn for fun-loving families. With sell-out events across Australia here is just a taste of the afternoon will be like.

Top DJs play grown up music (classic rave, techno, house, hip hop, drum‘n’bass) with bubbles, glitter, balloons and a parachute dance – plus themed crafts, fancy dress, and play and chill areas for babies and toddlers. Held in licensed premises on weekend afternoons, the Big Fish Little Fish raves are great fun for families.

Headlining the ‘Space Themed’ event is none other than trance legends ‘Binary Finary’. Playing a trance classic set, with reworks and originals, this is a party that will live long in the memory. Local legend MPK will be providing the oldskool rave classics, alongside MC-ing wonderboy MC Pab.

2017 was quite the year for Big Fish Little Fish Australia, seeing Sydney and Melbourne launch to a great reception. 2018 saw the launch of Big Fish Little Fish Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast to sold out audiences, with Perth shortly to add to the list. Sold out events across the board, bringing a unique and multi dimensional musical adventure to families.

Now it’s Adelaide’s time to party.

What can you expect at Big Fish Little Fish?

Quality tunes: house/rave/electronica/trance/techno/classics.
Multi-sensory dancefloor, bubbles, glitter cannons, giant balloons and parachute dance finale.
Licensed bar and glowsticks.
Kids craft tables and themed crafts.
Face painting stall.
Toddler play area with tents and tunnels and baby chillout space with mats and baby activities.

Who should come?

For families with younger children (8s and under) though all ages are welcome. Adults are not admitted unless accompanied by a child. A max of 3 children per adult. If there are more than 4 adults per child in your group please email ozinfo@bigfishlittlefishevents.com for pre-approval before buying tickets.

Yep, it’s a rave 🙂

Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with some seating, club lighting rigs (no strobes) are used and events are busy with around 7-800 people at each party – which helps create the rave ambience. Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance. Volume is set at a safe level for children and carefully monitored throughout the event.

The organisers may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes.

Prams and changing facilities

If you can manage it the organisers suggest not bringing a pram. They recommend slings and carriers for comfort and for some heart to heart raving on the dance floor 🙂 They realise some people will need to bring prams and there is a Pram Park. Prams are not allowed upstairs or on the dance floor for safety reasons. Changing facilities will also be available.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred/sold on to waiting lists. Each member of your group must have a ticket including pre-walking infants who are free (but ticketed).
