Looking for a new to you bicycle? Lighthouse Youth Projects Inc are holding another of their popular bicycles sales at their location in Port Adelaide on Saturday 6 April 2024 where you can BUY ONE SECONDHAND BIKE and GET ONE FREE!
Pick out any two bikes, Second Bicycle must be equal to or lower value than purchased Bicycle, no further discounts apply.
All forms of payment accepted. EFT preferred.
Lighthouse Youth Projects (LYP) is a youth based charity located in Port Adelaide which mentors disadvantaged young people. All bikes for sale have been fully refurbished, serviced and worked on by the amazing young people they work with, then a final check over is conducted by a Qualified Bicycle Mechanic.
LYP use donated bikes or find bikes in hard rubbish and make every effort they can to make them usable again. Buying a secondhand bike from Lighthouse is not only ethical and sustainable but the proceeds raised go straight back into supporting the Young People they work with.
All of the bikes that are for sale have been put together in their Cadence mentoring programme, with 100% of the sale proceeds going straight back into tools and programme development. This programme exists to help socially and economically disadvantaged young South Australians gain real work skills through bicycle maintenance and bicycle driven mentoring, delivered by qualified mentors.
You can find LYI at Port Adelaide, so while you’re visiting, why not take your new bike for a spin or visit one of the nearby museums – Aviation Museum, Maritime Museum and the National Railway Museum.
