The Environment Expo will be a day of sustainability, nature, hands-on learning, creativity and fun at Burnside Civic Centre.
Entry is FREE and everyone is welcome to walk in and enjoy the event. However, some events require registration to secure your spot. The keynote speaker for 2025 will be Hannah Moloney from Gardening Australia, who will share her sustainable gardening expertise.
Other highlights of the program include:
- Main stage guest speakers. Registrations essential.
- Sustainable fashion market with eco-friendly, one-of-a-kind fashion pieces. Registrations essential.
- Displays and market stalls offering innovative products and services to create a greener future.
- 2025 City of Burnside Environment Award Presentation.
- Launch of the City of Burnside’s Native Plant Giveaway.
- Little Critters’ Kids Art Competition & Display.
- Critter & Creature Zone โ Get up close and personal with bugs, slugs, and native animals in this hands-on, interactive experience.
- Reduce. Reuse. Recycle Zone โ Dive into an interactive experience, including a chance to โTouch a Garbage Truckโ and learn more about waste management.
- โGet Into Gardeningโ Display โ Learn expert gardening tips and tricks to start your very own sustainable garden at home.
- Activities in the Library – Storytime, VR experience and First Nation weaving workshop ($20 – bookings essential).
