Embark on a Journey of Light and Imagination and Dive into Sea of Light at Burnside Village.
During the July school holidays you can escape the winter chill and discover a world of wonder at Burnside Village with Sea of Light, a magical, interactive installation presented by Patch Theatre.
Using a UV torch as their paintbrush, participants create their own voyage across the sea floor, painting glowing trails and steering ships that leave shimmering paths in their wake.
Throughout the installation, illuminated artworks by contemporary Aboriginal visual artist Elizabeth Close appear across the floor. These works explore connections between land, sea and waterways, reflecting the diversity of the Australian landscape.
With a gentle soundscape by composer Rob Edwards, Sea of Light offers a calm, creative and immersive experience for the whole family.
A safe and fun indoor activity to keep everyone entertained these school holidays holidays, each Sea of Light session runs for 30 minutes and is suitable for children of all ages.
