Friends of Black Hill and Morialta Incorporated are hosting Bushcare’s Major Day Out on Sunday August 31. This is a community day being held across the country where people are encouraged to come along and try their hand at bushcare. The group will be continuing their program of improving habitat for native frogs along the creekline.
Families are welcome to join in – bring a hat and wear sturdy shoes. Tools and gloves will be provided by the Friends of Black Hill and Morialta. Morning tea will also be provided and the Kiwanis Club of Athelstone will be cooking a free sausage sizzle for lunch. There will also be guided walks of the project site.
Volunteers are to meet at the Resource Centre car park in Morialta Conservation Park, on Morialta Falls Road (off Stradbroke Road). Take the turn into the car park just before the pay station.
If you would like to join in please RSVP by August 29 to Liz Milner – 4thcreek@fobhm.org
