City of Playford Free Aus Day Breakfast | 26 Jan 2026
The City of Playford’s biggest and FREE barbecue breakfast is back in full swing for Australia Day 2026.
Start your morning with a community BBQ brekky at Fremont Park featuring great food, live entertainment and plenty of family-friendly fun, hosted by South Aussie with Cosi.
A flag raising ceremony with Mayor Glenn Docherty will mark the commencement of the morning, followed by free activities for all ages, including carnival rides and face painting. The free BBQ breakfast includes fresh fruit cups (until stocks last).
A highlight of the event will be the announcement of the 2026 Playford Citizen of the Year Awards.
This is a drug, alcohol and pet free event. Entry is free.
The Eastern end of Fremont Park, including the Yorktown Road car park and the dog park, will be closed from Saturday to Monday (24–26 January 2026) for the Australia Day event, including event setup and pack down.
