Clean Up Australia Day | 1 Mar 2026
Clean Up Australia Day returns on Sunday 1 March 2026, and individuals, families, schools, and community groups across the country are invited to register and be part of Australia’s largest environmental movement.
Volunteers can receive a free Clean Up kit, containing gloves, bags and other resources, with packs for individuals, families, community groups and schools available (businesses are asked to pay a small fee to cover costs).
If you are unable to participate, donations to Clean Up Australia are welcome, with 100% of funds raised going directly to empowering Australians to take positive action for the environment and providing Clean Up kits.
The national event will be held on Sunday 1 March 2026 and continues to be the nation’s largest community-based environmental event with more than 20 million Australians participating since its inception. Australia’s waste challenges can’t be solved in just one day, so over the past three decades, Clean Up Australia has evolved into an organisation that works with community, government and businesses to provide practical solutions to help us all live more sustainably every day of the year.
We can all play a part to help keep Australia beautiful.
