Department of Health’s National Public Toilet Map | How to Find a Local Public Toilet

Australian Government Department of Health’s National Public Toilet Map

As part of the National Continence Program, the Toilet Map provides information on over 19,000 publicly available toilets across Australia, including accessibility, opening hours and facilities, such as showers and baby change.  This is great news for parents with little ones who prefer to visit places that provide facilities, knowing where you can stop off on road trips and for peace of mind when visiting unfamiliar areas.

The National Toilet Map website allows you to search by location, address or postcode to find nearby toilets.  It also has a Plan a Trip function, where you enter the start and end for your journey to get a list of toilets along the way.

The National Toilet Map will help you:

• Find nearby toilets or search for a place you will be visiting

• Personalise your results by setting your preferences to return toilets that meet your needs, e.g ambulant, accessible parking, right or left hand transfer, baby change facilities.

• See the locations on the map and/or view the toilets in the list to see details and get directions – on foot or in a car.

The Toilet Map is also available on your mobile device – you can download the official National Public Toilet Map App from the App Store or on Google Play.

The National Public Toilet Map is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health as part of the National Continence Program to assist the estimated 4.8 million Australians affected by continence issues.
