Everyone is invited to join the fun on Sunday 22 November 2026 at a Family Fun Day Fundraiser for the Childhood Cancer Association.

Browse 40+ market stalls filled with a range of local produce, flowers, plants, yummy goodies, earrings, home decor, craft, leather goods, gifts, candles, children’s items, fidget toys and so much more. Shop for some unique and beautiful gifts for Christmas.

Plus, there will be activities to keep the kids (and big kids) entertained with a petting zoo, face painting, sausage sizzle and visit from the CFS and their mascot, Smokey the bear.

Activities:

Farm animal petting zoo (Gold coin donation for entry) from Farmer Darcy’s travelling farm from 9:30am – 1pm.
Face painting (Gold coin donation)
Games on the tennis court

Food:

Coffee van
Food van
Loaded brownies
Cake stall
Pizza Van
Sausage sizzle

There will also be multiple raffles with over $4,000 in prizes. $2 or 3 for $5 tickets.

Cash is preferred for the event with payWave available.

💚 First Look at the NEW Kensington Wama / Kensington Gardens Reserve Adventure Playground 💚

It’s now open, and we think you’re going to love it! Here’s our first quick look.

Inspired by local birdlife, the new playspace (formerly the Burnside Adventure Playground) features a custom bird-hide play structure, bird information panels and a great range of play equipment for all ages.

A major drawcard is the Cliff Rider (pole vault type of equipment) which older kids who like a challenge and risk taking will thrive on. The only other playground in Adelaide to have this is The Entrance, Angle Vale.

We love that the council have not played it too safe. There’s climbing structures, good old monkey bars, the double flying fox is back, swings and a hamster wheel. Additional seating and non-verbal communication signage helps create a more inclusive play experience, while hidden artworks throughout the playground will give children fun little discoveries along the way.

The beautiful sculptures were designed by artist Allan Sumner in collaboration with ACA Studios. The artworks are to encourage children and families to connect with local wildlife, Kaurna language and the stories of the natural environment.

It looks fantastic - well done to @cityofburnside and all involved.

Just a note: the driveway to the back car park is still closed - parking is along West Terrace.
