Forsyth Reserve Playspace | Hackham
Forsyth Reserve, locally known as Cottage Lane Park, has something for all ages including a playground, learn-to-ride bike track and facilities for multiple sports games.
The sporting and play facilities at Forsyth Reserve in Hackham feature a variety of interactive pavement games, including four square, hopscotch, a circular maze and an obstacle course that challenges both skill and coordination. For an extra dose of excitement, dodge the giant snakes in the oversized Snakes and Ladders game or twist and stretch your way through a giant game of Twister.
One of the standout features is the fun learn-to-ride bike track, where little riders can build their confidence while practising road safety. Kids can navigate roundabouts, follow road signs, roll over rumble strips and slow down for speed humps as they learn the basics of riding in a safe and engaging environment.
Sports lovers will also find plenty to enjoy, with courts and spaces to practise their skills. Whether it’s sinking a basketball three-pointer, returning the perfect tennis lob, making a winning futsal pass, scoring a last-minute netball goal or serving up a table tennis ace, there’s something for every budding athlete.
Additional features include a bike repair and pump station, a sheltered picnic setting, new seats and a drinking fountain.
The new facilities, located on the corner of Cottage and Sandy Lanes, were opened to the public earlier this year. They are the result of a $430,000 council project to transform 6 tired tennis courts into a multi-game space for the community.
