Rundle Mall Fun Fact

These fun-loving pigs were created by South African-born artist Marguerite Derricourt, the winner of a national competition instigated by the City of Adelaide to find a piece of public art to mark the final stages of a Rundle Mall upgrade. They’re officially known as ‘A Day Out’ and they’ve spent the last 21 years enjoying themselves in the Mall, greeting passers-by, sniffing around and digging through the bin for yummy scraps.
