“After many years I’ve learned to manipulate bubbles and bring the bubble to a totally new artistic level by making the bubble every size, shape, and hue. When people come to the show they just cannot believe what we can do with a bubble,”

says Fan, who is currently a 17-time Guinness Book of World Record holder for his achievements with bubbles, most recently having put an 8,800 pound elephant in a bubble.

Fan says his fascination with bubbles started as a little boy playing in the river near his house, where he found himself captivated by the reflections he saw on the small bubbles floating on the surface of the water. Some years later, when a friend gave him a small bubble toy, he began his study of bubbles in earnest.

“I was playing with the toy and making bubbles, and there was a particular bubble which flew into the atmosphere and then came down and landed on the grass. At that moment, I saw a clear reflection of the light hitting the surface of the soap; it was like a beautiful rainbow,” says Fan. “It was then that I decided to find out how to make the biggest possible bubble so I could observe the different reflections of light. And by following my imagination, I just kept trying to find the best possible mixture to make the biggest possible bubble I could make. This is how I started. I never thought I would ever be doing bubble shows on stage and travelling around the world.”

“Our show is hard to describe, you have to experience it,” says Fan. “I think from the beginning to the end people are just glued to the stage because they don’t know what is going to happen; they just float with the bubbles.”
