Kaleidoscope by Keith Courtney | Adelaide Fringe 2023

Kaleidoscope by Keith Courtney

A mesmerising symphony of light and sound staged in a breathtaking mirror maze, Kaleidoscope is a simple optical device scaled to epic proportions allowing you to step inside a constantly shifting illusion.

Kaleidoscope challenges preconceptions and provides the brave and adventurous with a new and different space to explore, contemplate and dream.  The new solo project by Keith Courtney, the mastermind behind House of Mirrors and 1000 Doors, Kaleidescope was the hit of Melbourne’s Rising Festival and Brisbane Festival 2022.

‘A light-filled maze of moving prisms, mirrors, glass and steel… no two experiences will be the same.’ Broadsheet 2022

Important information: Loud noises/includes bright lights. No running. Patrons 15 year and under must be accompanied by an adult. On days of extreme heat entry may be deferred or delayed for patron safety.

We had a quick sneak peek inside Kaleidoscope during the day and enjoyed the experience of making our way through the walls of mirrors, eventually finding our way to the exit door (another mirror!)  The natural, early evening light was magical and we can only imagine how incredible the coloured lights will make everything appear once the sun goes down.

Kaleidoscope is the first venue on the right as you enter The Garden of Unearthly Delights.
