Editor’s Note: Due to inclement weather this event has been postponed until Sunday 13 November 2016.
This year’s Kids Fun Run will be bigger and better than any fun run you’ve experienced in the past. It includes a huge blow up obstacle course and other great stations along the way.
This event will run in conjuction with Big Sunday Out which includes authentic Indian food, a bbq, coffee and a dessert van.
Get involved in the 2016 Big Sunday Kid’s Fun Run.
The event is for kids aged 3 to 12 years old. It’s happening on Sunday 13 November 2016 from 1pm at Princess Elizabeth Park, South Terrace, Adelaide. You can read about the adjoining fabulous Princess Elizabeth playground here.
This is an opportunity for kids to get involved in a Big Sunday project and raise funds to go towards the lives of sick kids in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and The Hope Kids Day Camp.
In the lead up to the run, children are encouraged to collect sponsorship from family and friends.
THE RUN
Kids can go dressed up in their favourite costume and they can expect to find some fun obstacles around the oval as they complete the course. The children will run in four age groups – 3 & 4 year olds, Reception to Gr 2, Gr 3 to 4 and Gr 5 to 6. Within each group, the children will have a coloured arm band for their age, and the winner for each age will receive a medallion. But ultimately, it’s a fun run and they want the kids to HAVE FUN!
DONATIONS
All donations can be made online under the Big Sunday Donating Tab here. All cash donations can be handed in on the day of the Run.

WHAT IS IT?
Big Sunday is ordinary, everyday people combining together to contribute back to those in our community who are struggling to survive, are marginalised through isolation, poverty, disability or sickness. Big Sunday acts to provide hope to hopeless situations through practical service.
On Big Sunday Weekend there are opportunities for every passion, talent, skill and age. Projects are scheduled throughout the weekend, and can last anywhere from one hour to a full day. These projects may range from handyman jobs at local not-for-profits, yard clean ups, visiting the elderly in nursing homes, assisting local animal shelters to providing social inclusion opportunities for various people groups. Wherever there is a need there is an opportunity.
