Lano & Woodley – Moby Dick | Adelaide Fringe | Review

Lano & Woodley – Moby Dick | Adelaide Fringe | Review: Adelaide Fringe 2023 Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️   4 Stars for fun and witty antics by a talented comedy duo

Seasoned comedy duo Lano & Woodley have brought their salty sea story, Moby Dick to the stage but don’t be fooled – this is not a story about Moby Dick and it is definitely NOT for kids! It’s more about (in Lano’s words) “Moby Di**heads”! There are quite a few sweary words incorporated into this delightfully witty show which sees Lano trying his best to narrate the story of Moby Dick while dealing with constant interjections from his goofy counterpart, Woodley and his funny philosophical ramblings!

With a brooding screen, full costumes and simple props and sometimes unwitting audience members, the pair use everything they have to create a show that is full of ridiculous interactions and slapstick comedy. Their dynamic is so polished after so many years working together that they can easily poke fun at themselves and their own show much to the delight of the audience.

Expect clever impro, witty comments and plenty of humour as this likeable and funny pair do what they do best which is play off each other as the completely contrasting characters that Australia has come to know and love.
