Lobethal Bushland Park Nature Playground – New Play Space Review

The new play space at Lobethal Bushland Park has been completed and is open to the public as of February 2022.
The upgrade introduced gentle equipment and sensory play for smaller children of all abilities, a new family BBQ area (with a gorgeous view), and an exciting tower and equipment for bigger kids. In fact, my kids think it’s the best playground in our area of the Hills (which it definitely is!).
It is spaced out into two sections: a baby/toddler play space and further around the lake is the big kids section. In between are the BBQs, a few picnic tables and rubbish bins.
Note that there is no shade for the playground so the equipment may get quite hot in summer. The play space is also not fenced so make sure to watch the kids near the water.
The playground boasts quite a large slide which is only accessible by climbing up nets within the tower.
Toilets are located in the brick building at the entrance to the playground and there is also a SA Water facility to refill drink bottles.
