random acts of light

Together with Illuminart and installation artists Random Acts of Light will be a one night luminous event that will incorporate a series of light focused interactive installations, light projections, performance art and illuminated sculptural works that will bring magic to Moseley Square after dark.

RANDOM ACTS OF LIGHT ARTISTS

Aurelia Carbone – Luminescent Jellyfish
The ocean is full of mysteries, and one of the most enchanting and fascinating are the creatures that make their own light such as the jellyfish. Aurelia will create a series of luminescent jellyfish and perhaps the odd sea slug underneath the Glenelg Jetty and they will drift along Moseley Square

Craig Laurendet (Illuminart) – ShipShape
Made out of 95% recycled and salvaged materials. ShipShape is a mobile projection sculpture designed to roam and interact with the audience whilst projecting delightful and engaging animations

Jack Ladd (Illuminart) – Bike Power
Bring your bike and help add to the power source that will generate light projection and music from the pedal powered art installation

Monica Prichard – Glowing Crab Critters and Push Me
Large glowing crabs will appear along the foreshore like they are migrating out of the sea and a light pixel image will be created by the audience as they interact with the “Push Me” light installation

Penny Campton (Illuminart) – Live Light Painting
The Glenelg Town Hall will be illuminated in light and invites people to come use the tag tool light to create a masterpiece

Zero (Luke Shaw) (Illuminart) – Animation Projection
Animated artworks will create interest and enhance the surface of the Glenelg Town Hall
