Reading Revolution: Are We Raising Readers… or Just Skimmers?
Turn your kids into story‑makers in just 90 minutes.
Reading Revolution is a fun, interactive literacy night for families, held at St Raphael’s School Library. Designed for children from toddlers to Year 6, it helps kids see reading as creative, social and exciting. This FREE event will take place on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
What Happens on the Night?
- Children help create a brand‑new group story, from beginning to end
- Live, theatrical storytelling brings books to life
- Optional favourite‑book sharing for kids who’d like to talk about a book they love
- Book swap – take books to share and discover something new
- Age‑group activities with separate workshops, so all learners are engaged
- Kids take home a copy of the final story and simple ideas to keep reading at home
Reading Revolution is designed for all reading levels and focuses on building confidence, sparking imagination and showing children that reading is more than a school skill – it’s a fun, shared experience.
Places are limited – bookings essential.
