Quentin Kenihan Playspace – Inclusive Play Day 13 October 2019
A new inclusive playspace is being built in Rymill Park / Murlawirrapurka (Park 14) and the City of Adelaide is seeking your thoughts on what you think will create a great play experience for people of all ages and abilities.
Share your ideas for the new inclusive Quentin Kenihan Playspace at the Inclusive Play Day, a FREE community event with a range of fun activities for all ages.
The Inclusive Play Day will be held on Sunday 13 October 2019, at Bonython Playspace. The event is not being held in Rymill Park, the future playspace site. The Bonython Playspace has been selected for the event location because it has better disability access and some accessible play equipment.
The new playspace will be named the Quentin Kenihan Inclusive Playspace in honour of Quentin Kenihan who was a disability advocate, actor, film maker, movie reviewer, radio host and writer born with the bone disease osteogenesis imperfecta.
Quentin was also an ambassador for the Touched by Olivia Foundation, a national charity that works with local councils, communities and corporations to upgrade or build inclusive playspaces.
