The next Salisbury Community Fun Day will be held on at Pitman Park.
Enjoy a day out exploring everything nature has to offer with the whole family at Salisbury Community Fun Day. There will be plenty of free activities, including a hands-on experience with native Australian animals where you can meet reptiles, mammals, amphibians and invertebrates from Wilburs Wildlife.
You can explore a marine sanctuary through an exciting virtual reality experience, observe the sun through a solar telescope (weather permitting). You can learn about worms and start your own mini garden with The Australian Worm Firm, and find out more about butterflies with Butterfly Conservation SA Inc.
Activities:
- Games and activities for children of all ages with the big games zone, chalk art, rock painting and the FOOTPRINT story book trail*.
- Family-friendly DJ
- Costume parade – dress up in your favourite costume supplied by Nylon Zoo. Costume parades will be held at 11.15am, 12pm, 12.45pm, 1.45pm and 2.30pm.
- Take part in traditional weaving and learn more about Indigenous Australian art and artefacts.
- Young children can take part in sensory play to discover nature water and spark their curiosity.
- Baby play zone for the youngest attendees to chill out, play, and stretch their legs.
Water and sunscreen will be available so you can stay hydrated and sun safe.
Food and drink
There will be lots of delicious food and drink options available, including:
- hot dogs, donuts and coffee from Smooth Brew
- fusion dumplings from Dzong Pali
