Join the FREE family fun day to celebrate the grand opening of Sea Turtle Park at Sunset in Port Noarlunga South.
Families are invited to the unveiling of South Australia’s newest playground at Sunset in Port Noarlunga South, Sea Turtle Park, with a free fun-filled day for families planned.
There will be a range of free activities, including:
- Food and drinks
- Face painting
- Balloon artist
- Play Experience with Evelyn Roth’s Nylon Zoo
- Sports circuits with Ready Steady Go Kids
- Native animals experience including turtles and frogs
- Sea-themed activities with Nature Play SA
- Surf skills workshop
- Mascot appearances
- Fire truck appearance by SA State Emergency Service
- Fresh 92.7 prize wheel
- Live music and much more
Sea Turtle Park will be officially opened by Minister for Health and Wellbeing, the Hon. Chris Picton MP and Minister for Housing and Urban Development, the Hon. Nick Champion MP.
Sea Turtle Park features a 13-metre-long giant sea turtle, swings, a carousel, climbing net, slide, a basketball and netball court, kickabout space, and amenities including electric BBQ, bike racks and casual seating areas.
Sunset at Port Noarlunga South is being developed in Adelaide’s south by Land Australia, part of the Hickinbotham Group, South Australia’s largest builder and developer. It is a $267 million development that will be home to 640 families when complete.
“Our playgrounds are the hub of our housing communities, fostering connection between neighbours as children explore,” said Hickinbotham Group Managing Director, Michael Hickinbotham. “We are proud of the innovative giant sea turtle that is centrepiece of the newest southern suburbs playground and look forward to welcoming families to our grand opening.”
Hickinbotham Group is running a competition to name the 3-metre-high sea turtle and children are invited to submit their ideas. Entries will be collated on the day and reviewed by Hickinbotham with the winner receiving a $500 Visa Gift Card. (*competition not affiliated with Play & Go Adelaide)
