Semapaw Park Official Opening Day – Semaphore Park Dog Park
Celebrate the new dog friendly space in Charles Sturt and learn how to get the most of what this park has to offer.
Semapaw park is a new generation of dog park located in Semaphore Park with two separate areas for dogs to enjoy. The Active Area is a large area with play equipment and plenty of plants, grass and equipment for confident and social dogs. The Sniff Space is purposely designed to create a sensory off-lead adventure trail for your dog. It encourages dogs to sniff and explore and is a great space for shyer or older dogs to enjoy a relaxing, enriching stroll.
Mayor Angela Evans will officially open the park, and anyone along with their furry family and friends are welcome to book into one of the 4 sessions available to attend the official opening event.
Each session will include a brief talk from a qualified Force Free trainer on Dog Park etiquette and the appropriate play as well as the key features of this new space. Additionally, limited spaces will be available for a sniffers session which is an on lead guided walk through the sniff space.
Important Info:
There will be a number of dogs off lead enjoying the park at this event. Please ensure if you are attending that your dog is social and comfortable and enjoys off lead play with new dogs.
Otherwise please attend the sniffers sessions, hear about what appropriate play looks like (with your dog onlead outside the park, or without your dog to just watch and listen) or enjoy the park with your dog at a later date when it might be less busy.
You are responsible for your dog and need to ensure you are actively observing their behaviour to minimise instances of a potential incident.
