Southbank Boulevard Reserve is officially opening on 30 May 2026.
Southbank Boulevard Reserve is a much-loved space that has had a major refresh, with a brand-new playground designed for all ages to climb, explore and enjoy. It will be officially opened on Saturday 30 May 2026 with a special celebration.
What’s happening on the day:
- Free coffee to start your morning
- Face painting for the kids
- Creative art activation
- Sports activities to get everyone moving
What’s new at Southbank Boulevard Reserve:
- A fully fenced playground for safe, enclosed play
- A large central play structure featuring three slides, swings, climbing elements, bridge crossings, a junior shopfront and interactive play panels
- Play opportunities designed for all ages, from toddlers through to teens, plus features like a chess table for adults to enjoy
- An accessible loop path perfect for scooters and trikes
- Irrigated turf within the fenced area for active play and relaxation
- New garden beds and additional tree planting to enhance the space
- A new drinking fountain
