The Unsightly Adventures of X-Raymondo Man and Zap Zap Lazer Boy
A non-for profit premiere of the film, The Unsightly Adventures of X-Raymondo Man and Zap Zap Lazer Boy will be held on Friday 21 June 2019 at The Highway.
The Unsightly Adventures of X-Raymondo Man and Zap Zap Laser Boy is about a young girl called Allie Grace who has a great love for bedtime stories. Each night, her mum tells her a story about her favourite heroes; X-Raymondo Man and Zap Zap Laser Boy. But on their latest adventure their powers have been compromised and they’re struggling to get out of Dr Slimeball’s Lair. What they really need right now is a TRUE superhero who can prove to us that not all superheroes wear capes!
The film is SA made and has also been submitted into the Focus on Ability Film Festival, a national film festival where they ask film makers to submit a film that paints a story focusing on people’s abilities rather than their disabilities.
The film aims to give children the insight to understand that all children are special including ones with disabilities. It highlights that a disability doesn’t make you incapable of being who you want to be or any less special than any other person.
Doors open at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start. Seating is not allocated so arrive early to ensure best seats.

- Magic show (performed by Michael Wilkop AKA Mickster the Trickster)
- Face painting
- Balloon modelling
- Photo booth by Enchanting Photobooth
- Showcasing other award-winning short films made in SA

Tickets:
Tickets are $12 with proceeds donated to Guide Dogs SA/NT.
