The Wizard of Oz Interactive Show
Click your heels together and get ready to follow a yellow brick road full of fun, adventure and wacky characters.
Produced by Sydney-based company Youngstars2.com, The Wizard of Oz Show has been performed 3800 times internationally to date. In this new, interactive re-telling of Frank Baum’s classic story directed by Brian Laul, kids can rap with the Tinman, roar like a Lion, wake up sleepy Shakey the Scarecrow and dance with Dorothy as they go off to see the Wizard.
This is no sit-down-and-watch affair – everyone is even invited to come dressed as their favourite characters to celebrate their visit to Oz. Live action comes together with 3D animation on screen, catchy tunes, Christerine’s colourful costumes and loads of interactive fun in this ‘toto-ally Oz-some’ treat ideal for 2 to 8 year olds.
The Wizard of Oz Show is about more than giving kids a good time. It spreads a message of hope and self-esteem to the young. Do bring along a toy or book for the show’s Children’s Hospital Toy Appeal.
The Pre-show Drama Workshop offers a basic introduction to movement, voice plus a valuable opportunity to perform on stage as munchkins with the Oz cast.
