World Environment Day
Timed to lead into World Environment Day on Monday, June 5, the Fair will celebrate the natural environment, raise awareness about conservation and encourage people and communities to think about how they can contribute to changing their habits for a positive impact.
Keynote Speakers
Keynote speakers across the weekend include award-winning Australian environmental campaigner, author and broadcaster Tanya Ha and Adelaide’s own Dr Deane Hutton, one of Australia’s best known science educators and recognisable from his time on The Curiosity Show, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Channel Seven News and The New Inventors. Therese Kerr, author, speaker and visionary and Co-Founder of The Divine Company will also be in the Green Theatre talking about organic health and well-being while Animals Anonymous will be presenting a fun and exciting show for the whole family where you’ll see a diverse range of native Australian animals.
Tackling the big issues
It is also an opportunity to tackle many of the issues we are facing today – energy policy, renewables, recycling, affordable “tiny”housing and encouraging children to play outdoors and discover nature.
