Are you looking for ways to get your kids out of the house and active these school holidays? Then look no further than Come β€˜n Try.

Come β€˜n Try is a health initiative brought to you by Life. Be in it. and supported by The Adelaide City Council. The initiative is aimed at getting kids active and healthy during the school holidays, while also providing the opportunity to participate in a vast variety of different sports and activities.

Come β€˜n Try brings together a varying array of South Australian sporting and recreational organizations to the CBD area, and offers the opportunity to sign-up for any number of activities over the course of the week. As the initiative takes place within the Adelaide CBD, it is a great way to spend a morning, or whole day! It all depends on how many sessions and activities your child would like to have a go at.

What activities are on offer at Come ‘n Try?

The next Come ‘n Try program will take place from Monday 11 to Friday 15Β of July at locations around the CBD. Once again, the program usesΒ Victoria Park for the outdoors stuff, so you can have a coffee at the Velo Precinct Cafe while you watch your kids.

There will be a very exciting list of sports and activities on offer which currently include:

  • Netball;
  • Triathlon;
  • Footy;
  • Rowing;
  • Orienteering;
  • All-Star Cheerleading;
  • CirKidz; and
  • Bowls … with the list continuing to grow!

What is the cost ofΒ the Come ‘n Try sessions?

It gets better! The cost of each session ranges from only $5 – $15, so there’s no breaking the bank. Head to theΒ website, Come ‘n Try to make bookings or find out more information! Not all activities may yet be available for booking, but they will be very soon. Be sure to stay tuned.

Β So, if you would like the opportunity to get your kids up and active these school holidays all while being able to try many different sports and activities, with the convenience of CBD location, and a cost that won’t hurt your wallet, then Come β€˜n Try is the answer. Plus, it’s certainly proven to be a lot of fun; last school holidays there wereΒ over 200 children involved!
