Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema returns in 2017!
Music by day, movies by night! Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas are a quintessential outdoor event, with feature films lighting up the huge movie screen from dusk. Cinemagoers can chill out before their movie with some tasty food and frosty beverages from the licensed bar, while relaxing to sounds from the best of the Australian and New Zealand music scene and sets from the most exciting emerging local musicians.
To top it off, every Sunday screening is a ‘Sundae Session’, a dedicated live music event with FREE Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for all!
The stage has featured acts including The Cat Empire, Kate Miller-Heidke, Kisschasy, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Winter People, Jack Carty, Dan Parsons, Tara Simmons, Ashleigh Mannix and many more. The eclectic film program line-up is one of quirky comedies, retro classics, great Australian fare, award-winning features, new releases, premieres and sneak previews.
Gates open at 6pm or 5pm on Sundays and movie starts at sunset!
There will be a wide range of snacks and other filling fare to keep your tank running all afternoon and into the evening. And you might have guessed, there’s mouthwatering Ben & Jerry’s to cool down those balmy eves (don’t forget that’s FREE on Sundays for the weekly Sundae Sessions!)
The fully-licensed Jar Bar is stocked with all manner of beverages from frosty beers to sparkling whites and Aussie reds, and of course some great non-alcoholic offerings.
Bring a picnic blanket or hire a comfy bean lounger – Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas suit whatever your style may be! Make sure you get in early to grab the best spots as seating is unreserved (except in Star Lounge and American Express Invites Lounge).
