Family Day at Sea and Vines Festival
The Monday of the June long weekend is traditionally a day to enjoy Sea & Vines with your whole family – and 2016 is no exception!
Many of the vineyards that are part of the Sea and Vines Festival have family-friendly activities on offer from face painting to bouncy castles; kids’ meal deals to archery practice.
Coriole Vineyard’s Greek-themed event at Sea and Vines Family Day
Coriole Vineyards is a popular family-friendly cellar door and their Greek themed event will provide fun for both adults and kids! Combine Adelaide beat makers Datakae and How Green performing a 5-hour collaborative freestyle jam, with activities for the kids including free face painting, games and jumping castle and you’ll have one very happy and relaxed family!
Beach Road Wines for a family-friendly cellar door plus children’s entertainment
Beach Road Wines are offering family friendly events on both Sunday 12 June 2016 and Monday 13 June 2016! Their ticketed events include children’s entertainment and a giant sandpit, as well as the usual features of this family friendly cellar door! Ticket prices include food and drink packages for both adults and kids!

Cradle of Hills kids’ meal deal at Sea and Vines Family Day
Cradle of Hills have a kids’ meal deal on offer at their Monday event, including a meal, soft drink, with sweets or ice-cream for just $12 along with Ping-Pong and LOADS of toys to keep them entertained!
Explore your inner Robin Hood at Kay Brothers
Or how about taking the family to one of the oldest wineries in McLaren Vale and enjoy some of the joys of yesteryear – Kay Brothers. At this event, children can explore their inner Robin Hood, take a careful aim and enjoy safe and supervised archery practice or have fun with lawn games around the extensive grounds. The kids’ menu option of pork sausage, Belgium fries and tomato sauce will satisfy their hunger after all that target practice!
Maxwell Wines: maze, jumping castle and face painting
You can’t go past Maxwell Wines for a fun family day out – their onsite maze is enough to keep the liveliest kids entertained! This year, Maxwell Wines are also offering a jumping castle and face painting.
Best dressed royals and Pin the Tail on the Corgie at Penny’s Hill
At Penny’s Hill the kids can enter the Best Dressed Royal Award to be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize! There’ll be live music, Bocce, Pin the Tail on the Corgie and more!
De Lisio Wines plus The Vale Market
De Lisio Wines have teamed up with The Vale Market, with over 50 stalls to view, as well as children’s entertainment, free bouncy castle, and plenty of room for picnics! Local band Turn Back will providing a mix of acoustic tunes to keep all the family entertained.
With an open house family oriented setting, Bent Creek are creating entertainment for all kids, big or small. Sit back and enjoy the casual cuisine created by Exec. Chefs Ben Smith & Josh De Hass from ‘The Bath, Queens Head & Cremorne Hotels’ full of flavour and the servings are generous.
There are many other events happening on the Monday of Sea & Vines, including Bondar Wines, Hardy’s Tintara, d’Arenberg, Woodstock and Beresford Estate, as well as an insight into McLaren Vale Italian grapes with Mike Bennie.
