Across three days, enjoy a range of events created to suit all ages, palates and experiences.
There’s something for everyone at the Sea & Vines Festival, from intimate degustation dinners, tastings with the region’s top winemakers and chefs, to winery tour adventures, food trucks, live music and fun activities for families. You can enjoy one or enjoy many, stay for a day or stay for the weekend and create your own unique McLaren Vale getaway.
Highlights of the Sea & Vines Festival:
Family Fun Monday | 10 June 2019
FREE and fun, Monday adds a variety of winery events offering free entertainment for the kids meaning you can sit back, sip a glass of wine, indulge in gourmet tasting plates and enjoy the atmosphere for a fun family day out. Take a picnic rug and enjoy live music, food trucks, themed menus, activities and games. Wine and food are available for purchase from each winery.
Coriole Vineyards – Coriole’s Big American Sideshow | 10am – 5pm
A melting pot of southern fare and carnival flair. Attractions include sideshows, free face-painting and circus performers. Menu includes buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing, Chicago-style hot dog, New York cheeseburger, mac and cheese, Hollywood cobb salad, hot chips, hot apple pie, cotton candy, and popcorn. Coriole wine and local beers available.

Bondar Wines – Bondar Pop-Up Cellar Door | 12pm – 5pm
Bondar’s pop-up cellar door is back. One of the Vale’s exciting new producers, Bondar won James Halliday’s best new winery in 2017, Best Small Producer trophies at the last two McLaren Vale wine shows, and was named one of the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine in Australia last year. This is a great chance to check them out, as well as enjoy some top food by Comida Catering Co and entertainment by Joe Braithwaite. Menu includes Fried Coorong Mullet Bocadillos ($15), Tortilla espanole ($15), Regional platter ($25), Kids fish and chips ($15) and Churros ($15).
De Lisio Wines – De Lisio Wines at the Vale Market | 10am – 3pm
Over 50 market stalls will span the lawns of the Visitor Centre offering local produce, arts, crafts, skincare, jewellery, souvenirs and homewares, plus free children’s entertainment, new adventure play and free bouncy castle. Try De Lisio Wines’ unique Sangiovese Rosé, sparkling Moscato, Italian-style Pinot Grigio, crowd-pleasing Cabernet Merlot, new Covert Shiraz and Cabernet, world-famous Quarterback Red Blend and premium flagship Shiraz. Regional beers and ciders also available. Take your picnic rug and enjoy the local foods and produce from the markets or the offerings from South Australia’s best food vans, matched to a bottle of boutique De Lisio wine. Turnback will play favourite pop and rock hits, acoustic tunes, providing a relaxed and fun backdrop for a family day out.

Kay Brothers – Relax and unwind at Kay Brothers | 11am – 5pm
Join Kay Brothers for good fun, fine wine and great food, accompanied by cool music. Enjoy a glass of wine on the lawns overlooking the vineyards and beautiful Mt Lofty Ranges, or head into the cask room where Dr DeSoto will get the party started followed by the legendary Chris Finnen and his band in the afternoon. For the big and little kids looking for more physical entertainment, a range of games and activities will be available in the picnic grounds with the team at Southern Vales Archery providing their ever-popular ‘come and try’ event. Chef Glenn Carr will be on hand again serving gourmet delights fresh from the grill – with options suitable for all ages and requirements.
Lloyd Brothers – Lloyd Brothers Family Fun Day | 11am – 5pm
The Lloyd Brothers family invites all families to enjoy a day relaxing on their lawns by the lake. Go along to experience the finest wines, tunes by the Click band, and gourmet fire-cooked food provided by Caro Club and Fahrenheit Catering. There will be free kids activities including a jumping castle, popcorn, relays and more. Arrive early to secure your spot. Menu includes fish and chips, salt and pepper squid, chicken burgers, tapas, kids meals and more. For something sweet, they have coffee and crepes.

Maxwell Wines – Amazeballs | 11am – 5pm
Adelaide’s top food trucks will offer up super tasty Festival food and they’ll have live music plus plenty of amazing kids activities including an eight-metre tall rock climbing wall, ball pit and – of course – the Maxwell Maze.

Pizzateca – Kiddoteca | 12pm – 5pm
Join the family at Pizzateca along with the smiling faces from Kiddo Mag for a relaxed day of live music and VPO Pizza. Try their charcoal arrosticini and enjoy the full range of V.Mitolo & Son wines. Oodles of entertainment and gelati available for the little ones. Live music, DJs, face painting and more.
The Food Business at Chapel Hill – Fun, Family and Food Biz | 11am – 4pm
Sit back and relax with the kids in a family-friendly atmosphere, while sipping a glass of luscious Chapel Hill wines with something from The Food Business’s all-day dining menu. Plates start at $18 for adults and $10 for children (12 years and under). Cheese, coffee and sweet treats will also be available. Music by DJ Ant Williams.

Unique and intimate gatherings carefully designed to offer flavour, feasting and immersive sensory experiences. Choose from a selection of ticketed bespoke events across the three days of the Festival (check individual listings for ticket inclusions).
